The Prison Strap

Texas Prison Strap
We didn't want to get into leather straps back in the beginning.
A friend of ours handed us a piece of still sole leather one
day and
asked us to make a handle for it.
As usual, we couldn't
send a toy out without making sure that it worked correctly.
We liked it so well that we started
making them.
Another friend who came up from Texas. Well, it just so happened
that he was a rather troubled boy in his youth.
He took one look at the strap and said, "that looks just
like
the strap that they used on me back in prison".
So that's how it got it's name

Louisiana
Prison Strap
Another fortuitous request from a friend and customer brought
the Louisiana Prison Strap into our line of toys.
He bumped into an 82 year old
man at an estate sale in Tennessee
who had been a prison guard back in his home state of
Louisiana. He had a broken down old strap that
he used on prisoners back in his hay days. Our customer picked
the old strap up and sent it to us, asking us to make him a
strap something
like it that could actually be used.

Razor Strops
Who hasn't heard of going out
to the old wood shed
for a punishment. Grand Dad most likely used his old belt or
his razor strop.
We inherited our first strop from
the man that taught John
what they feel like.
You can still buy strops. If you're lucky, you might find an
antique from Russia. They made the best.
Our strops our made of heavier and more durable leather than
what you find on the market today. We add a canvas strap to
the back
to replicate the rouge strip found on real strops.
We've specialized a few strops
by using industrial vinyl for a back
strap as well, making both sides of the strap usable for butt
beating.
Strops come in two lengths and
two types of leather
as well as rubber.

Tawse

Originated in the UK.
We've all heard of the Scottish Tawse, which is usually
a single layer of leather that is split of the center.
They're undeniable wicked.
Hanson uses a layer of harness
leather that is folded in half
and threaded through a heavy D-ring.
Each layer is split up the center. The weight of the combined
layers
makes for a nasty ass whooping' time.
The split of the center opens when being swung through the air
then immediately
closes as it makes contact with the target,
pinching the skin slightly.
Four lengths, including the Leather
Stinger, the smallest Tawse in the picture.
All Tawse are available in Rubber.

Our Five Finger
is a little closer to the Scottish Tawse in design.
It's made of a single layer of custom tanned leather.
Five fingers are cut about half
the length of the Tawse.
This Tawse should be called a stinger.

The Newest member of the Tawse Family.
52 Inches of Oiled Harness Leather folded through a
Circular Brass Ring.
This "Tawse" is mean.
A real punisher.
